STUART TENHOOR & My Services
1
Consultation
Using Stuart TenHoor Legal Search means: confidentiality, due diligence and personalized service.
When we help our attorney candidates, we work primarily with key decision-makers — managing partners, practice group leaders or lateral hiring partners. We do not disclose your identity to prospective employers without your approval. We know what it’s like to work at the employers we represent and that information comes directly from many long-term relationships with law firm and corporations, and from many other sources.
2
Strategy
Stuart TenHoor Legal Search directs law firm partners, practice groups and smaller-sized law firms on how best to search for and select the right fit among potential law firm suitors. Further, our company instructs law firm clients on the strategic hiring of partners, integrated practice groups and even entire law firms.
We work with Life Science corporations on a retained basis to find food and drug law regulatory talent for their counsel replacement or new position opportunities.
3
Results
While Stuart, over a 35-year legal search career, has placed attorneys in a significant number of law practice areas, the past 15 years he’s spent becoming a prolific food and drug lawyer placement expert. Simply put, we deliver outstanding opportunities to our Life Science company and law firm clients. And we always aim to achieve the best results for the food and drug law attorney candidates with whom we work—We Know The Market!
4

5
For employer clients
We are well positioned to find the candidates best-suited to your needs. STLS pulls together a search team for every search we conduct. We help law firms, corporations, trade associations and the federal government find the right candidates for their positions with a focus on the Greater Washington, DC lawyer job market. In certain instances, we work on a retained basis which positions us to reach out to the best candidates exclusively for our legal employer clients.
6
Lawyer Career Coaching
For our individual attorney clients, we help you realistically evaluate your career goals and how best to achieve them. We often help you in getting a raise or the best offers, compensation, and status when you contemplate switching positions. For our services, we cap our fees at $1,000, charged at $400 per hour. You only are charged for the time you use. We offer you a tax deductible payment option with our favorite non-profit—NAMI Maryland.
Stuart TenHoor began his focus on placing FDA lawyers in 2009, several months before he became a member of FDLI. His baseline experience as a legal search consultant (since 1988) adds significant value to those food and drug lawyers searching for better employment options. And Stuart regularly consults with various types of employers seeking needed FDA legal talent.
Since the number of food and drug attorneys capable of creating or expanding law firm FDA practices is relatively small, the demand for those available remains strong and has continued to increase. Further, since approximately 25% of every consumer dollar spend in the U.S. is for products regulated by the FDA, it is certain that demand will remain strong for top food and drug legal talent.

Attention Job Seekers! Use a comprehensive approach
Plan
Map out your plan from start to finish. Use research tools such as LinkedIn, Google or other search engines, and many directories available that list legal employers. Then begin to identify what employers offer the most promise.
Make Contacts
All significant contact exchanges should be recorded along with basic contact information, thereby making it easier to follow up with contacts as needed.
Take Action
An active daily campaign of phone calls, personal meetings, e mails and other communications in a two to four hour period each day would end with a candidate summary of each interaction.

I had the pleasure of working with Stuart when I was considering a lateral move in the food and drug law space and highly recommend him. He brings a deep understanding of the regulatory legal market and was very thoughtful in aligning potential opportunities with my long-term goals. I always felt that Stuart was genuinely invested in my success throughout the process. He took the time to thoroughly review my resume and coach me throughout the interview and selection process. I recommend him to any FDA attorney I know navigating a move in this niche area.

Clients SAY
Trusted by those who’ve worked with him—here’s what they have to say.
I have known Stuart for over 30 years. He placed me at my first legal position outside of FDA. Stuart has extensive knowledge of the FDA Bar and of the many different law firms around DC. Since placing me, Stuart has brought numerous highly qualified candidates to be considered for joining our FDA practice team. We recently hired Bill Holtz, referred by Stuart, who is integrating quite well into the team and the firm, Foley & Lardner.
If you are considering a move in the FDA practice area, I highly recommend that you seek out Stuart's insights and knowledge.
